This project is believed to be the largest single structure devoted to student housing in London - if not the UK. It is a conversion of the former Kings Cross House - a twin-towered office building, 15 storeys high, dating from the mid-1970s - which fell into disuse. The old curtain walling was stripped off and replaced with something more contemporary looking. Opening vents have been added in the new cladding to provide natural ventilation - something which the air-conditioned original would have lacked. The interior was converted to form 846 single and twin bed student rooms, 50 apartments for sale and 14 social housing units. There are also some 2000 square metres of rentable office space. At ground floor a new podium block was added to provide retail accommodation along Pentonville Road.
