Villa 13x13
This single-storey house was designed for a young couple, in an area characterized by single-family houses in small lots. The villa has different responses to its orientations: opaque walls to the north, east and west (closed to outside views) and an open front to the south (opening to an inner patio). The contrast between the closed façades and a clearly horizontal porch to the south defines the formal characteristics of the villa. The brief is organized in three parallel, functional bands. The first band is occupied by parking and technical rooms, the central one contains the bathrooms and dressing room, while the bedrooms are located in the south band. Next to these, there is a passing space that contains the entrance porch, hall, kitchen, living room and exterior porch.
