From the south, the office for this public housing corporation is the first building of business area De Wissel and the village of Sint Annaparochie. It is a landmark for both of them. The plan consists of three volumes, each with a rectangular footprint and a saddle-shaped roof. The height, width and length varies and so does the typology. The first volume, with primarily office functions, is narrow and high and refers to a stately house. The second volume, with public functions, is lower and less pronounced. It is the link between home and the last volume, with the workshops and warehouse, which by its size and scale depicts a barn or shed. The three-part typological structure is similar to (but not the same as) the so-called Frisian 'head-neck-torso' farm and a response to the building on the border of countryside and village. Making prismatic volumes with saddle roofs builds on the traditional idiom as it is found in this area.
