Merwedehoofd
This project is located on the former factory site of Fokker, along the water at the cross section of three Dutch rivers.
The urban plan consists of ensembles from different architects. Rudy Uytenhaak designed five of these ensembles containing a total of 66 apartments. Along the riverside an apartment building was constructed containing both premises and housing. Due to the horizontal orientation of the façade, the apartments have an optimal position towards the light and provide a panoramic view on the water traffic. Just behind this 'waterfront' lies a lower block with a more vertically aligned façade and houses with gardens.
