CBS De Fontein

This project combines a primary school with an after-school childcare centre and sporting facilities. By reducing the circulation space it became possible to create a large inviting hall for multipurpose use. The stairs can be used as a gallery and a stage as well. The classrooms on the first floor are very spacious due to the kinked roof. Large windows lighten the gym (also on the first floor) with beautiful daylight. The use of warm red masonry in the exterior as well as in the interior gives a warm and strong expression to the building as a whole.
