Meditation Space
At the very end of the patio of the Japanese garden, with access to the right, is the 33m2, cylindrical, one-story structure is paved with granite exposed to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945, subsequently cleaned and used for the floor and base of the pond. Commissioned by UNESCO to symbolize peace and to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the adoption of UNESCO's Constitution. Financed through Japanese private donations amounting to approximately 5 million French Francs.
